Gonzales: Solo Piano
by samantha on April 22nd, 2007
Classical solo pianist. Wonderful album, a bit melancholy at times (1,2,3), jazzy (4), ethereal (6, 11) and occasionally energetic (13, 16). All are subtle, gentle and very relaxing. Reminiscent of the Amelie Soundtrack - picture yourself sitting in a Parisian Cafe. Overall Excellent. *Side Note: Gonzales aka Jason Beck is an interesting artist - Canadian guy living in Paris who has worked with Peaches and Manu Chao - usually stays in the electronic realm, but really proved his musical ability with this classical CD
